Torres is a repeat winner of conference weekly honors, going back-to-back from her impressive performance at the UIndy Fall Invitational. She was medalist at the Great Midwest Fall Invitational.
Torres helped lead Findlay to the team title as the Oilers had a 31-stroke margin of victory distanced from runner-up Trevecca. Findlay’s team effort was notable as the top of the team standings was crowded with first, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh-place finishers. Even individual Kelsey Koesters recorded a top-10 finish outside of the team scoring.
The junior held off Trevecca sophomore Rachael McMahan, last year’s G-MAC Championship runner-up and conference freshman of the year. Only three shots separated the talented pair from first and second.
Torres carded an even par-72 during the first round and continues to be the league leader in scoring average through 3.5 rounds with a 74.3 mark.
