Staerz has earned conference weekly offensive honors for the third time in his young career already.
With shutouts against Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie, both on the road, Staerz accumulated seven points.
Even more impressive was Staerz recording both game-winning goals in each contest. He scored the game’s only goal against ODU before striking for two goals and an assist against LEC in a 5-0 final.
Staerz has moved into a tie for second in the league in points with 14. Walsh’s JP Alexis and Ohio Valley’s Celso Riveros each have 14 points. The sophomore is first in points per game (2.00).
