INDIANAPOLIS -- Outdoor track and field action continues this week as multiple Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) programs compete across the Midwest. Ten G-MAC schools will be back in action Friday and Saturday, along with additional midweek meets, as teams continue their outdoor season.
 
G-MAC Programs in Action
Ashland, Findlay, and Ohio Dominican will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to compete in the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. Ashland is coming off a first-place finish on both the men’s and women’s sides at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Open. Findlay also had a strong showing, placing second in the men’s standings with 88 points.

  • Ashland will also send athletes to Wooster, Ohio to compete in the Wooster Invitational.
  • Ohio Dominican will also send athletes to Athens, Ohio to compete in the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational.

  • Jaycob Kolleda (Sr., Ashland) 1.95 meters in the men’s high jump.

  • Victoria Harvey (So., Findlay) 4.09 meters in the women’s pole vault.

Cedarville
 
Cedarville will travel to Athens, Ohio, this weekend to compete in the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a strong home meet where the women’s team placed second with 96 points.

  • Caroline Hamilton (Fr., Cedarville) 17:22.84 in the women’s 5000 meters.
  • Hannah Hartenburg (Sr., Cedarville) 38:00.17 in the women’s 10000 meters.
  • Evan Meisberger (So., Cedarville) 53.22 in the men’s 400 hurdles.
  • Rebekah Brinser (Fr., Cedarville) 1:05.98 in the women’s 400 hurdles.
 
Thomas More
 
Thomas More will travel to Wilmington on Saturday for the Wilmington Invitational. The Saints placed 20th at last weekend’s Yellow Jacket Open, highlighted by a strong performance from freshman Campbell Gerling, who finished sixth in the 800 meters (2:19.78).

  • Andrew Witherington (So., Thomas More) 58.10 in the men’s 400 hurdles.

Ursuline
 
Ursuline will compete at the Wooster Invitational this weekend alongside Ashland. The Arrows opened their season last week at the Denison Lid-Lifter Meet in Granville, Ohio.

  •  Dillon Defibaugh (Fr., Ursuline) 51.29 in the men’s 400 meters.
  • Keyonna Mcgill (Jr., Ursuline) 57.79 in the women’s 400 meters.
  • Jocelyn Dornbirer (Sr., Ursuline) 4:45.34 in the women’s 1500 meters.
  • Savannah Gyasi-Nimako (Jr., Ursuline) 5.23 meters in the women’s long jump.
 
Hillsdale and Northwood
Hillsdale and Northwood will compete at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing this weekend. Hillsdale will also send athletes to the Stanford Invitational in California. The Chargers are currently ranked No. 24 nationally in the NCAA Division II Women’s Outdoor Track & Field TFRI and will host this year’s G-MAC Championships.
Northwood will split competition across multiple meets, including the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (Austin, Texas), the Golden Grizzlies Invitational (Rochester, Michigan), and the Bobcat Invitational (San Marcos, Texas).

  • Sam Smith (Jr., Northwood) 31:19.84 in the men’s 10000 meters.
  • Blake Vier (Jr., Northwood) 13.73 in the men’s 110 hurdles.
 
Malone
 
Malone will travel to High Point, North Carolina, for the VertKlasse Meeting. The Pioneers previously competed at the Raleigh Relays, also in North Carolina, where Allea Graves placed 71st out of 149 runners in the 200 meters.

  • Allea Graves (So., Malone) 56.06 in the women’s 400 meters.
  • Isabelle Perry (Fr., Malone) 11.82 meters in the women’s shot put.

Tiffin
 
Tiffin will compete at the Duke Invitational in North Carolina this weekend. The Dragons finished 10th at last week’s Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open, with the men placing fourth overall. Ramon Rodriguez highlighted the meet with a first-place finish in the 1500 meters (3:55.25).
