Great Midwest Athletic Conference Sends Strong Contingent to NCAA Division II East Regional

INDIANAPOLIS. —The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) will be well represented at the upcoming NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Regional, as four member institutions—Findlay, Tiffin, Ashland, and Northwood—have earned team selections, while Walsh’s Sydney Hugo secured an individual qualifying berth.

The quartet of G-MAC programs earned regional bids following strong performances throughout the 2025–26 season, highlighted by consistent finishes and competitive showings. Their selections underscore the depth and strength of women’s golf within the conference.

he University of Findlay continued its tradition of excellence with a standout campaign, positioning itself as the top team in the region. The Oilers are coming off of their eighth straight conference championship. Tiffin University also earned its place with a series of impressive tournament finishes, while Ashland University and Northwood University demonstrated resilience and steady improvement to secure their regional berths. Ashland most recently earned runner-up at the G-MAC championship.

In addition to the team qualifiers, Walsh University’s Sydney Hugo will represent the G-MAC as an individual competitor. Hugo’s exceptional play throughout the season earned her a spot among the region’s top individual golfers. Hugo earned medalist status at Belterra, recording a 54-hole score of 216 (-5), that included 11 birdies.

The NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Regional is scheduled to take place May 4-6 at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
