Oilers Secure Eighth Straight G-MAC Title

FLORENCE, Ind. – The Findlay Oiler women won their eighth consecutive conference golf championship on Friday, April 17 at the Belterra Resort.  The Oilers won 4.5 to .5 against the Ashland Eagles.

In match one, Oiler Ellie Yeazell secured a narrow victory against Eagle Zoe Mort finishing one up.

Following match one, in match two Oiler Ashleigh Duflo defeated Eagle Klaira Paramore nine up.  This was the most decisive play of the day for the Oilers.

The Oilers secured their showing in match three where Oiler Hayley Dye found three up over Eagle Leeann Harker.  Then, in match four Oiler Gracie James won three up against Eagle Gracyn Vidovic.
 

The final matchup, match five, between Oiler Emma Myers and Eagle Anna Machamer ended in a tie.  This would be the Eagles only non-loss result of the competition.

Overall, the Oilers controlled the day with four victory matches out of five.

 

The NCAA East Regional will begin on Monday, May 4 at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
