Tony Guerra has been named NWCA Super Region 3 Coach of the Year.

The honor automatically makes him a finalist for National Coach of the Year and caps another successful season at the helm of the Dragons' men's wrestling program. It is also the second coaching honor of Guerra's career after earning G-MAC Coach of the Year honors in 2023.

They finished 3rd at the Super Region 3 Tournament and sent four wrestlers to the NCAA National Championships. Anthony Aniciete was national runner-up at 125 pounds while Nolan Gessler (165) finished 6th. Both athletes earned All American honors with their showings. Aniciete, Gessler, and Emilio Arellano (174) all won region titles while Jake Powell (285) came in third.

The Dragons were the G-MAC regular season champions and boasted five individual champions at the G-MAC Championships.

The Dragons were also ranked as high as 3rd nationally by the NWCA early in the season and remained in the Top 10 throughout the year.
