Davenport started their week on Monday, March 9, stepping out of conference play to secure a dominant 23-0 shutout on the road against Central Michigan University.

Returning to the Davenport Student Center on Saturday for their pivotal G-MAC tri-match, the Panthers showcased their championship pedigree. In their first matchup of the day, Davenport overpowered #10 Malone, cruising to a 29-9 victory. They followed up that performance by dispatching #9 Tiffin, 27-4, utilizing a strong first-half shutout to pull away from the Dragons. The Panthers continue to sit atop the G-MAC standings as the team to beat.

#10 Malone Edges #9 Tiffin in Top-10 Thriller

The opening game of Saturday's tri-match featured a tightly contested, back-and-forth battle between #10 Malone and #9 Tiffin.

The Pioneers and Dragons were deadlocked at 8-8 entering halftime. The difference in the game came down to a decisive fourth quarter, where Malone executed its team routines flawlessly to outscore Tiffin 11-9, securing a thrilling 23-21 upset victory.

Despite the hard-fought win over Tiffin, Malone fell to Davenport later in the afternoon, splitting their weekend to move to 3-2 in conference play. Tiffin, meanwhile, concludes its regular-season G-MAC schedule at 5-5 in the conference (11-7 overall) after suffering the two top-10 defeats on Saturday.
