GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Walsh Cavaliers (2-0) Walsh secured victories over Great Lakes Christian College and Cedarville University to improve their standing, currently ranked No. 19 in NCAA Division II. Kaleb Schaffer powered the Cavaliers past Great Lakes Christian, scoring 16 points in just 17 minutes of action. In their matchup against Cedarville, it was Walsh’s efficient shooting that made the difference. The Cavaliers shot an impressive 56% from the field, including 55.6% from three-point range. Balanced scoring played a key role in the 10-point victory, as all five starters finished in double figures.
  • Ohio Dominican Panthers (2-0) Ohio Dominican also enjoyed a perfect week with wins over Tiffin and Hillsdale. Elijah Hinton led the Panthers in a 64-56 victory over Tiffin, scoring 14 points in 35 minutes. The win completed a season sweep of the Dragons and marked Ohio Dominican’s fourth straight victory at the time. The Panthers followed that performance with a commanding 91-76 win over Hillsdale to complete another season sweep. Derek Goodman led the charge with 25 points in 37 minutes, extending the Panthers’ win streak to five games.
  • Lake Erie Storm (2-0) Lake Erie continued its hot streak with wins over Thomas More and Malone, stretching its winning streak to seven games. Amari Williams delivered 20 points in 24 minutes in a 92-86 victory over Thomas More. The Storm overcame a double-digit deficit, gaining momentum before halftime and trimming the lead to two heading into the break. They capped the week with a 73-59 win over Malone, led by Gio Moore’s 18-point performance in 24 minutes. Moore’s standout week earned him G-MAC Player of the Week honors. He averaged 18.0 points per game while shooting 65% from the field (13-of-20), along with 6.5 rebounds per game and three total blocks.
