OVERVIEW:
Great Midwest women’s soccer programs began to battle one another during week three of the 2025 season. Ashland and Cedarville prevailed as the remaining undefeated teams, going 2-0 over the week.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
  •  Ashland had a dominant week, defeating each of their opponents 7-0. Offensive Player of the Week Dani Hicks totaled 11 points for the Eagles, including a four-goal performance against Tiffin. Ashland is ranked No. 17 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll.
  • Cedarville defeated Findlay 3-0 and finished the week with a 1-0 win over Thomas More. Sophie Browndyke led a Cedarville backline the posted back-to-back shutouts, allowing just four shots on goal through two matches. Browndyke’s efforts earned her Defensive Player of the Week honors. Evania McCandless scored two goals for the Yellow Jackets followed by Brooklyn Scythes who found the back of the net against the Oilers.
  • Lake Erie picked up their first conference win in a convincing 4-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan. Arielle Fink and Alyvia Sanom tabbed one goal apiece followed by Isabella Carvalho who added a pair of goals.
  • Lake Erie, Northwood, and Walsh each hold a 1-0-1 record in the conference. Walsh and Northwood went head-to-head before ending in a 1-1 draw. Mari Jackson (NU) and Paityn Marino (WU) each scored for their respective teams.
  • Findlay, Thomas More, and Malone each picked up one conference win apiece. In Findlay’s 3-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, Addison Williams was credited with a hat-trick in the Oilers second win of the season.
