OVERVIEW:
Great Midwest volleyball programs recorded an overall record of 17-23 during opening weekend (Sept. 5- Sept. 6). Teams beat programs from a variety of conferences including the GLVC, MEC, SAC, PSAC, and Conference Carolinas. The G-MAC will gear up for conference play, beginning Friday, September 19.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Cedarville opened the weekend with a convincing 3-0 win over Upper Iowa. The Yellow Jackets were led by Madelyn Hensley with 14 kills and a hitting percentage of .256. Cedarville, who was voted the South Division favorite, went 2-1 on the weekend.
- Jenna Peters of Ohio Dominican was recognized as the South Division Player of the Week, after leading ODU with 17 kills and two blocks for the weekend. The Panthers registered wins over Bemidji State and Maryville
- Ashland was the lone team to go 3-0 over the weekend. The Eagles beat IUP, Daemen, and West Liberty in their home tournament. Ravin Morgan led the winning effort with a .643 hitting percentage.
- The Walsh Cavaliers were led by freshman Kameron Stover, who currently leads the league in kills with 92 through 19 sets played. Stover and the Cavs went 3-1 during their opening weekend.
- Findlay captured two wins during last weekend over Emmanuel and Lander. Makenna Belcher, who was the North Division Player of the Week, led the Oilers with 11 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. Findlay is favored to win the North Division this season.
- Hillsdale defeated Anderson University, led by Emory Braswell and Jenna Southland with 13 kills apiece.
- Lake Erie defeated Point Park and Lock Haven at the Hall of Fame City Classic.
