Findlay, Ohio -  The University of Findlay is proud to announce that Head Football Coach Kory Allen has been nominated for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, a national honor recognizing individuals in college football for their extraordinary commitment to community service and leadership off the field. He is one of just 16 coaches in the country to be nominated for the award.

Coach Allen is among a record-breaking 197 nominees across all levels of college football, including student-athletes and head coaches, who exemplify the values of volunteerism, civic involvement, and positive influence in their communities. This year marks the 34th anniversary of the award, jointly presented by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

"Kory's impact goes far beyond the sidelines," said Jim Givens, Director of Athletics at the University of Findlay. "His dedication to mentoring student-athletes and serving the broader community reflects the very best of what we stand for at Findlay."

Over the past academic year, the University of Findlay football team completed more than 360 hours of community service, volunteering with organizations such as Coats for Christmas, Upward Football League, the Findlay Police Department, ZONTA Women's Center, and the City of Findlay. Most notably, under the leadership of Coach Kory Allen, the Oilers have become a consistent and enthusiastic presence at the Marathon Diamonds, supporting the city's Miracle League, a local organization dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball, regardless of their abilities.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® celebrates those who are making a difference through initiatives such as youth mentorship, mental health advocacy, homelessness outreach, and educational support. Final team selections will be announced in September, with 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach chosen to represent the 2025 class.
