INDIANAPOLIS- Over 3,000 student-athletes from around the league were officially named to the 2024-25 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference team, that was released Friday afternoon.
All member institutions once again contributed significant numbers across the board. Student-athletes competing in 26 total championship sports were included in this year’s list, gathered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives as well as the league’s Sports Information Directors.
The 2024-25 Presidents’ Cup champion Findlay staked claim to the most individuals on the academic all-conference team list with 407 student-athletes.
Many schools saw significant spikes from their academic all-conference team numbers from a year ago, with a total of 11 institutions having over 150 individuals or ore receiving the honor.
To be named to the academic all-conference team, the student-athlete’s grade point average must be a minimum of 3.3 based on a 4.0 scale. The GPA shall be cumulative for the student-athlete’s entire collegiate career to date and the student-athlete must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution. Student-athlete’s GPA’s reported by each institution were reflected through the spring semester.
