Davenport Wins Division II STUNT National Championship

4.27.25

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Davenport Panthers are Division II STUNT National Champions for the seventh time in program history.

The 2025 G-MAC Champions would trail Jessup for most of the match finding themselves down through the first three quarters of play. It was during the first routine of the 4th quarter that Davenport would take its first lead of the game and the Panthers would never trail again. Davenport would get its revenge, 15-12, over Jessup.

The Panthers would claw their way back from the loser’s bracket to find a spot in the Division II National Championship game against a familiar foe in No. 3 Jessup. The Panthers got a big win over the No. 1 seed and defending National Champions Oklahoma Baptist, 14-10 in the loser bracket to give the team to reclaim the title.

DU would get a win over Concordia Irvine, 15-5 in the third game of the tournament to keep its postseason run alive. A 15-1 win over Vangaurd would put Davenport in the loser-bracket finals with a spot in the championship on the line. Davenport would then lose a close one to Jessup in its second game of the tournament to fall into the loser’s bracket.

As the No. 2 seed, Davenport would receive a first-round bye and would play Dallas Baptist in their first game of the tournament. The Panthers would win that game 15-3.
