Women’s Outdoor Track And Field Moves Up To 10th In USTFCCCA Rating Index

As released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday (April 15) morning, Ashland University's women's outdoor track and field team has climbed up one spot to No. 10 in the weekly rating index for NCAA Division II.
 
The Eagle women continue to pace all Great Midwest Athletic Conference teams in the rating index, and of their 150.77 team computer points this week, the majority come from:
  • Sophomore Molly Winner in the hammer throw (second in D-II, 61.14 meters/200-feet-7, 31.02 points).
  • Winner in the shot put (sixth in D-II, 15.01 meters/49-feet-3, 21.48 points).
  • Senior Lily Dowdell in the 5,000-meter run (seventh in D-II, 16:29.55, 19.39 points).
  • Junior Jade Avance in the 800 run (seventh in D-II, 2:07.38, 19.23 points).
  • Fifth-year Aniya Seward in the 100 hurdles (10th in D-II, 13.68 seconds, 13.28 points).
  • Junior Abby Wheeler in the high jump (10th in D-II, 1.72 meters/5-feet-7¾, 12.99 points).
Ashland's women and men will go to the Virginia Challenge on Friday and Saturday (April 18-19).
