ASHLAND, Ohio – History has been made! Davenport is the 2025 Great Midwest STUNT Champions after a 24-3 win over Ashland in the tournament championship game. This is Davenport’s first G-MAC title since joining the league as an associate member in 2024-2025.
Davenport would face defending G-MAC Champions, Ashland, in the Championship game. After Quarter 1, the Panthers were ahead 4-0. In Quarter 2, Ashland would earn one point in the jumps and tumbling segment. Davenport would lead the game 8-1 at the break. The Eagles would pick up two more points in the 3
rd quarter, but the Panthers would maintain a strong lead, 12-3, heading into the final quarter.
Tiffin took the consolation final 13-11 over Malone to secure a third-place finish.
In the first game of the day, Davenport set the tone early, the Panthers met Malone with a spot in the Championship Game on the line. After Quarter 1, Davenport led 3-0 with all points being awarded to the top-seed for partner stunts. The same would be said for the rest of the game with the Panthers sweeping the points for pyramids and tosses in Quarter 2, jumps and tumbling in Quarter 3, and team routine in Quarter 4. Davenport would beat Malone 23-0 to advance to the Championship.
No. 2 seed Ashland would follow in the second semifinal of the day taking on No. 3 Tiffin. After Quarter 1, the Eagles would have the slight edge 2-1. In Quarter 2, the Dragons would grab two points in the pyramids and tosses category to give Ashland a 5-3 lead heading into halftime. In Quarter 3, Tiffin would come surging back to tie the game at 5-5 and then again at 6-6 during the jumps and tumbling portion of the game. The game would head to Quarter 4 still knotted at 7-7. After a thrilling Quarter 4, the game would remain tied 14-14 sending it to an overtime period. After the overtime period, Ashland would edge out Tiffin, 16-15, to secure a spot in the Championship game for the third straight season.
