Lake Erie's Jack Haskin Voted Wrestler of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS- Lake Erie’s Jack Haskin and Ashland’s Brock Durbin were voted as Wrestler and Freshman of the Year in a poll of the league’s head coaches. Colt Sponseller of Ashland was once again voted Coach of the Year.
 
Haskin was named the conference’s top wrestler after another stellar 2025 season. He finished the season 30-4 and earned runner-up status at nationals in the 165 lbs. weight class. Haskin’s performance earned him all-American status for the second straight season. He was the highest of all G-MAC wrestlers at the national event.
 
Brock Durbin had a standout debut season at Ashland, qualifying for nationals in the 141 lbs. weight class. At the conference meet, he placed second at 141 lbs to earn a spot on the all-conference team.
 
In his fifth year at the helm of Ashland’s wrestling program, Sponseller won his fourth G-MAC title since joining the conference in 2021. The Eagles sent a conference-high eight wrestlers to the Division II National Championship.
 
It was another successful season for the Great Midwest as 15 total individuals qualified for nationals.
