Eagle Grapplers At No. 21 In NWCA Rankings Going Into Regionals

The latest set of National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division II rankings were revealed on Monday (Feb. 24) afternoon, and Ashland University's wrestling team sits at No. 21 in the country going into the postseason.
 
Six Eagles are nationally-ranked at their respective weight classes prior to regionals:
  • Junior Sevriano Garza – fifth at 174 pounds (25-2 record)
  • Junior Nate Barrett – ninth at 165 pounds (26-9 record)
  • Sophomore Luke Acuna – 14th at 125 pounds (25-8 record)
  • Sophomore Peyton Lemon – 14th at 184 pounds (25-8 record)
  • Senior Kaine Morris – 14th at 197 pounds (24-9 record)
  • Sophomore Hayden Kuhn – 15th at 149 pounds (26-6 record)
Ashland will compete at the D-II Super Region Three meet on Saturday (March 1) at 9 a.m., at the Heminger Center in Tiffin, Ohio.
