INDIANAPOLIS -- This week, competition centered on a dual and tri-meet format as the University of Findlay traveled to Bowling Green for a clash against the Falcons and the Blue Streaks of John Carroll University. Malone and Hillsdale programs continue their mid-season competition break.
Findlay Oilers Battle at Bowling Green Tri-Meet
Following their record-breaking performance at the Calvin Winter Invite, the University of Findlay swimming and diving teams made the short trip to Cooper Pool on Saturday, Dec. 13. The women faced off against NCAA Division I host Bowling Green State University and John Carroll, while the men competed in a dual format against John Carroll.

Women's Program Highlights
Despite falling to a tough Division I opponent in Bowling Green, the Oiler women secured a decisive win over John Carroll and notched an impressive NCAA provisional mark:

Olivia Scheibelhoffer (So.) led the way with two individual victories, winning the 50-yard freestyle in an NCAA B-cut time of 23.44 and the 100-yard butterfly in 56.30.

Katie Susi (Sr.) dominated the breaststroke events, taking first in both the 100-yard (1:03.77) and 200-yard (2:21.02) distances.

Troie Grubbs (Sr.) contributed a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (53.19) and third in the 50-yard freestyle (23.91).

Freshmen Emma Montgomery and Michelle Jativa added depth, with Montgomery taking second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.93) and Jativa placing third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:29.54).

The Oilers showed relay strength, placing second in both the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.69) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.02).
Men's Program Highlights
The Oiler men cruised to a dominant victory over John Carroll, highlighted by several NCAA B-cut performances and multi-event winners:

Camilo Marrugo (Sr.) was the star of the sprints, securing two NCAA B-cuts with wins in the 50-yard freestyle (19.60) and the 100-yard butterfly (46.28).

Juan Blandon Torres (Fr.) added another NCAA B-cut to the tally, winning the 200-yard butterfly in 1:48.00.

Sebastian Camacho (Fr.) continued his distance dominance, sweeping the 1000-yard freestyle (10:00.69) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:38.60).

Nick Beratz (Fr.) earned a pair of wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.70) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:56.30).

Randy Keener (Sr.) and Arnaldo Guimaraes (So.) swept the backstroke and breaststroke events, respectively. Keener took the 100-yard (51.56) and 200-yard (1:54.67) backstroke, while Guimaraes claimed the 100-yard (56.12) and 200-yard (2:07.97) breaststroke.

The men swept the relays, winning the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.41) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:20.03).
Findlay returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 10, for a high-level meet against the University of Indianapolis.
