Davenport 2026 STUNT Preseason Favorite Under First Year Head Coach Liz Teague

INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released the 2026 STUNT coaches preseason poll Tuesday afternoon. Coaches voted Davenport to repeat as the 2026 conference champions.
 
The Panthers joined the league last year, where they went on to win a G-MAC and National Title. Davenport will look to repeat as conference and national champions under first-year head coach Liz Teague. Abigayle Rossow returns for DU after being voted the Player of the Year last season. Rossow earned athlete of the week honors three times during the regular season and averaged a power ranking of 71.76. The league’s top freshman in Trinity Brumfield also returns for coach Teague. Brumfield finished the regular season with a power ranking of 39.35 that ranked eighth in the the conference. In addition to Rossow and Brumfield, the Panthers return Emily Ball and Chandler Walthall who were first-team selections last season. Davenport finished the 2025 season with a 23-2 overall mark and a perfect 10-0 conference record.
 
Ashland was slotted second under 2025 Coach of the Year Denise Farnsworth. Farnsworth and the Eagles made their third straight STUNT Nationals appearance last season as the No. 9 team in the country. Meghan Ferrante is one of the top returners for Ashland after earning a spot on the all-tournament team at last year’s championship. Ferrante and the Eagles finished with a 1-1 record at the national meet, falling to No. 7 DBU 15-7.
 
Tiffin, who was voted to finish third in the conference standings, will look to replace all-American and first-team all-conference honoree Kaiah Hicks. Head coach Cassie Bump returns second-team all-conference Karli Liming to the 2026 squad. Liming was the Dragons’ second-highest ranked player, taking the mat for 344 rounds of play last season. She finished her sophomore campaign with a power ranking of 27.63.
 
Malone, Walsh, and Ursuline round out the 2026 Coaches Preseason Poll.
 
The Pioneers and Cavaliers return their all-conference selections in Makenna Jurkowski and Hanna Radel, respectively.
 
The 2026 STUNT season will begin Sunday, February 1 with non-conference matchups.
