INDIANAPOLIS -- This week, the focus shifted to the highly competitive Calvin Winter Invite in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the University of Findlay swimming and diving teams delivered a massive performance, achieving numerous school records and NCAA cuts. As previously planned, both Malone and Hillsdale were not in competition this week.
Findlay Oilers Dominate at Calvin Winter Invite
The No. 10 men’s and No. 11 women’s swimming and diving teams from the University of Findlay competed in their toughest regular-season meet at the Calvin Winter Invite from December 4-6. The Oilers posted a slew of records and NCAA qualifying times against a competitive field that included multiple nationally ranked Division II opponents.

Women's Program Highlights
The women's team achieved several milestones, setting multiple school records and national-leading times:

Emily Mears-Bentley had an exceptional meet, winning the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.41), setting a new school and meet record, which is also the fastest time in NCAA Division II this season. She also set a new program record in the 100-yard freestyle (49.38) with her leadoff split in the 400 Free Relay, hitting an NCAA Automatic qualifying time (A-cut).

Katie Susi broke school and meet records in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.32), winning the event with an NCAA B-cut time (fourth fastest in DII this year). She also hit a B-cut in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Troie Grubbs won the 50-yard freestyle with a new school, meet, and pool record of 22.97 (B-cut) set in the prelims.

The 400-yard Medley Relay team of Mears-Bentley, Susi, Olivia Scheibelhoffer, and Grubbs won with a new meet record and NCAA provisional time of 3:43.48.
Men's Program Highlights
The men’s team also showcased impressive speed with multiple wins, records, and NCAA cuts:

Sebastian Camacho dominated the distance events, winning the 500-yard freestyle with an NCAA Automatic qualifying time (A-cut) of 4:19.14, setting new program, meet, and pool records. He also won the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.08) and the 1650-yard freestyle, both with NCAA B-cut times.

Randy Keener set a new school record in the 200-yard backstroke, winning with a B-cut time of 1:44.02 (second fastest in DII this season). He also won the 100-yard backstroke with a B-cut time of 47.19.

The 800-yard Freestyle Relay team (Juan Blandon Torres, Santiago Arteaga, Nick Beratz, and Sebastian Camacho) set a new school and meet record (6:31.24, B-cut).

Camilo Marrugo set a new program record in the 100-yard freestyle with a B-cut time of 43.32 during his relay split.
Both the Malone Pioneers and Hillsdale Chargers did not compete this past week.
