INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletes of the week for December  1st, 2025 are based on student-athlete performance from November 24th, 2025- November 30th, 2025.
 
Men’s Basketball
Parker Day / Northwood University/ Sr. / Forward / Saginaw, Mich.
Last week, Northwood Timberwolves Parker Day averaged 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals during the Timberwolves two victories.  He shot 50% from the floor, 3-6 from the three point range and 100% from the foul line.  During their second victory, Day found the best performance of his career with a personal-best 31 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Women’s Basketball
Jenna Slates/ Ashland University/ Fr./ Forward / Hartville, Ohio
The No.16-ranked Ashland Eagles beat the No.12-ranked Union Bulldogs.  Ashland Eagles Jenna Slates led the charge with career highs of 16 points, 16 rebounds and three steals.
 
Men’s Bowling
Nathan Shannon / Thomas More University/ Jr. / Louisville, Ky.
Thomas More Saints Nathan Shannon led the Saints by posting three top 50 finishes out of their for tournaments in November; including, a 11th place finish at the Roto Grip Raider Classic.
 
Women’s Bowling
Baylee Spickard / Thomas More University/ So. / Lexington, Ky.
Thomas More Saints Baylee Spickard posted a top 50 finish at all four tournaments over this month including a 12th place finish at the OBC Event two.
