OVERVIEW: The Findlay Oilers remain on top of the G-MAC football standings through week nine. The Oilers have a perfect 8-0 mark and handed Northwood their second loss of the season.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Hillsdale improved to 3-4 in the conference after a 24-10 win over Thomas More. The Chargers jumped to a 10-0 league thanks to a Dylan DeDario field goal and a Colin McKernan two-yard run. Thomas More’s Luke Iden put the Saints within seven after nailing a 51-yard field goal. Shea Ruddy and Colin McKernan each scored heading into the second half to put the Chargers ahead by 21.
- ODU put up 31 points against the Storm as Carson Parker tallied 208 yards and connected on one touchdown. The Panthers put up 269 yards of total offense while holding Lake Erie to 184 yards. Jace Schaefer and Harlee Hanna were each credited with two sacks apiece while Rico Franklin-Davis added one for a loss of four yards.
- The biggest matchup of the weekend was between the University of Findlay Oilers and Northwood Timberwolves. The Oiler defense dominated, holding the Timberwolves to just 30 rushing yards. Sam Weihrauch led the charger, totaling eight tackled, three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three sacks for 14 total yards. Weihrauch’s efforts earned him Defensive Player of the Week honors. Both the Oilers and Timberwolves are ranked in Super Region three, with Findlay at No. 2 and Northwood at No. 10, respectively.
- Walsh and Ashland went wire-to-wire before the Eagles eventually came out on top with a final score of 23-26. The Cavaliers took the lead early on as Cole Norris connected with Jake Gill. Manaki Watanabe then nailed a 53-yard field goal to put the Eagles within seven. Watanabe earned Special Teams Player of the Week after following up his 53-yard field goal with a 59-yard field goal to put Ashland ahead 13-0 to end the first half. Ashland is ranked fourth in the latest regional rankings.
- Ronald Blackman earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for 138 yards on 10 attempts in Tiffin’s 24-12 win over Kentucky Wesleyan. Blackman, Tyrese Banks-Dorn, and Nick Johnson would each find the back of the endzone for Tiffin.
