GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Walsh Cavaliers moved to 5-0 after defeating the Kent State Tuscarawas, 122-73, and the Carnegie Mellon Tartans, 98-72. During their matchup against the Tuscarawas five Cavaliers scored in double figures as they shot 59.5% from the field. They continued this momentum against the Tartans as Cavaliers Quintero Barnett led the scoring with 25 points in 28 minutes along with five steals and four rebounds.
- The Cedarville Yellow Jackets found two victories against the Wright State Lakers, 80-89, and the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters, 85-82. Their best day came against the Lakers in their home opener as they found a 53-15 halftime lead. Jonathan Whiteside led four Yellow Jackets in double figures with 16 points on a perfect five-for-five shooting performance while also adding seven rebounds.
- The Hillsdale Chargers found two victories against the Andrews Cardinals, 89-42, and the Ohio Christian Trailblazers, 74-72. During their tight scoring against the Trailblazers Cole McWhinnie helped secure the victory as he buried a buzzer-beating three-pointer with three-tenths of a second remaining in the half.
- The Ashland Eagles defeated Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawks, 82-80, and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats, 87-89. Leading the charge for the Eagles was Maceo Williams as he averaged 22.3 points, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the week while also finding back-to-back double-doubles at the Hawkeyes Classic with 25 points, 11 rebounds and then 20 points and 13 rebounds.
- The Findlay Oilers split the week with a victory against the Ferris State Bulldogs, 102-70, and a loss against the Gannon Knights, 79-101. In their victory against the Bulldogs, Oilers Mason Brandt led the charge with 14 points and nine rebounds on seven-of-12 shooting.
- The Lake Erie Storm found two victories against the D’Youville Saints, 92-76, and the Clarion Golden Eagles, 85-72. These victories aid in the Storms historic start of the season as they open 4-0 for the first time in school history.
