INDIANAPOLIS- For the second consecutive year, Ashland’s Dani Hicks has been named the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) Midwest Region Player of the Year.

The D2CCA awards are voted on by SIDs within the region and are split into a first and second team all-region.

Hicks, a senior from Lebanon, Ohio, led the Eagles to their second straight G-MAC title and a berth in the NCAA Midwest Regional. She earned Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2024 and 2025 after totaling 12 goals, nine assists, and three game-winning goals through over 1,000 minutes played. Hicks is joined by G-MAC defensive player of the year Sophie Browndyke as first-team all-region selections. Browndyke, a senior at Cedarville University, led a CU defense that gave up just six goals during the regular season. She added two goals and two assists on the year.

Sydney Noble (UF), Carly Boyd (NU), Emily Pate (AU), and Ava Kettler (NU) were honored as second-team all-region selections.

Hicks and Browndyke will automatically be placed on the all-American ballot, that will be voted on in the coming weeks.
