INDIANAPOLIS- For the first time in league history, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference has three teams earning bids in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
Findlay earned the No. 2 seed and will host Minnesota State. The Oilers most recently clinched a share of the regular season title for the second time in program history. Findlay currently sits at 10-1 and are 8-1 in the conference.
The Ashland Eagles, who also earned a share of the G-MAC title, will host 10-1 Minnesota Duluth from the Northern Sun Conference. Ashland is 9-2 and are coming off a victory over Lake Erie to close out the regular season.
For the first time since 2006, the Northwood Timberwolves earned a bid to the NCAA Regional. The Timberwolves had a historic regular season, holding an overall record of 9-2. Northwood will travel to No. 1 Ferris State to battle the reigning Division II champions.
All games are set to begin Saturday, November 22.
