MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- The highlight of the week came from the Cedarville Yellow Jackets, who upset the nationally-ranked Findlay Oilers. Cassi Shields ignited the upset with a stat line of 16 kills, seven blocks, and 17 digs to extend Cedarville’s winning streak to eight. This is the first time since 2022 the Yellow Jackets have defeated a nationally-ranked opponent.
- Hillsdale shutout both Kentucky Wesleyan and Thomas More, led by player of the week Adi Sysum. Sysum averaged three kills and 1.3 blocks per set to improve the Chargers’ conference record to 3-2.
- The Cavaliers had a 3-0 week to extend their winning streak to seven. Walsh went wire-to-wire in a five-set victory over Clarion. They then went on to shutout both Ursuline and Lake Erie. Kameron Stover continues to make her mark in the conference, leading the league in kills at 4.38 per set.
- The Malone Pioneers stunned Ashland in a 3-1 victory to secure the program’s second win over the Eagles. Jaymes Gilbert led the way with a double-double that included 11 kills and 15 digs.
- ODU had a perfect week that included sweeps of both Lake Erie and Tiffin. Against the Storm, the Panthers finished with 52 kills and a .286 hitting percentage. Grace Zinchuk led the team with 13 kills on the day. Jenna Peters led the charge against Tiffin, registering 14 kills and 12 digs in another 3-0 sweep.
