Great Midwest football programs entered week six of the 2025 season, with Findlay remaining at the top of the stands with a perfect 8-0 overall record.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Findlay remains as the lone undefeated team in the league with a perfect 8-0 mark. The Oilers bumped up to No. 11 in the national rankings- the highest ranking in program history. During week seven, Findlay went wire-to-wire with Ohio Dominican, eventually prevailing on top in the 27-20 victory. Wide Receiver Denny Furlong found three touchdown passes of 28, 35, and 35 yards. His efforts earned him Offensive Player of the Week honors. Furlong finished the game with six receptions for 136 total yards.
- Walsh captured their sixth win of the year over the Saints from Thomas More. The Saints and Cavaliers were tied 14-14 with eight minutes left in the first half, before Dante Walker touchdown put the Cavaliers ahead 21-14. Walsh went on to score a pair of touchdowns and field goals to make the final score 41-20.
- Ashland, now ranked No. 17 in the national polls, came out on top in a thrilling 30-27 overtime win over Tiffin. The Eagles jumped to a 14-0 start before a Ben Rudolph field goal and Jaedyn McKinstry touchdown put the Dragons within four. Ashland’s Manaki Watanabe tied the game at 27 with a 30-yard field goal to send the game into overtime. Watanabe then solidified the win in overtime with a 16-yard field goal to make the final score 30-27.
- The Timberwolves from Northwood University are having their most successful season in over a decade with a 7-1 overall record. Northwood is coming off of a 49-14 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan. Ethan Hamby passed for just under 200 yards, going 16-26 and connecting on three touchdowns. Case Boos led the team in receiving, averaging 16.0 yards per catch. He finished with six catches for 96 yards and one touchdown. In D2 Football’s latest poll, the Timberwolves are ranked No. 24.
- Hillsdale’s Shea Ruddy shined for the Chargers in a 35-10 win over Lake Erie. The Special Teams Player of the Week returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, while also stringing together 107 receiving yards.
