INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletes of the week for January 13th, 2025 are based on student-athlete performance from January 6th, 2025- January 12th, 2025.
 
Men’s Basketball
Maceo Williams / Ashland University/ Jr. / Forward / Gahanna, Ohio
Maceo Williams has continued to have an incredible campaign for the Eagles in 2025. He helped lead Ashland to a 2-0 record this past week with wins over Walsh and Thomas More. For the week, he averaged 27.5 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals per game all while shooting 88.5% from the field. His best game came against the Saints where he recorded 31 points and 14 rebounds to help the Eagles pick up the win on the road.
 
Women’s Basketball
Erin Kaufman/ Malone University / Jr. / Forward / Glandorf, Ohio
Kaufman was a key piece in why the Malone Pioneers still remain attop the G-MAC standings. This past week she spotlighted her time on the court with a 24-point and 15-rebound double-double performance in a win against Ohio Dominican. 
 
Wrestling
Zander Graham/ Ashland University / Jr. / Ashville, Ohio
This past weekend the Eagles traveled to Kentucky Wesleyan for a Tri-Meet, leaving with dominating wins over Lake Erie and the Panthers. Graham led the charge recording two pins (2:43 and 2:11) to improve his record to 8-4 on the season. Of his eight wins, now six of them have been found due to falls.
