Grace Norman wins Paralympics gold for second time

Former Lady Jacket claims fourth medal in career

PARIS - Former Lady Jacket All-American Grace Norman claimed the gold medal in the triathlon at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

The 2020 Cedarville University graduate from nearby Jamestown, Ohio was timed in 1:04:40 in the race which features a 750 meter swim, a 20 kilometer bike ride, and a 5,000 meter run.

Her performance was 75 seconds faster than the rest of the field.

It's the second gold medal and fourth in all for Norman. She won gold in the triathlon and bronze in the 400 meters at the 2016 Rio Games. She was the triathlon silver medalist at Tokyo in 2020.

Norman has taken her talents to another level on the world stage following a decorated career with Lady Jacket cross country and track & field during her career from 2016-20.

She was a two-time NCCAA Indoor champion in the distance medley relay and was a four-time All-American in all - twice in the DMR to go along with the mile and 3K.

Additionally, Norman was a two-time All-G-MAC Indoor performer, twice named to the G-MAC Academic Team, and was a USTFCCCA Division II All-Academic honoree.

She placed sixth at the 2019 NCCAA Cross Country Championship for All-America recognition is leading Cedarville to its 12th team title in program history.
