Pair of Football Student-Athletes Features as Campbell Trophy Semifinalists

INDIANAPOLIS—The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) released their list of 203 semifinalists for the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy Wednesday morning. The 35th edition of the award features 18 Division II student-athletes, two of which are from the Great Midwest.
 
The William V. Campbell Trophy is one of college football’s premier scholar-athlete awards and recognizes an individual as the best football scholar-athlete in the nation for academic and athletic success as well as exemplary leadership.
 
Ashland’s Tony Pannunzio and Hillsdale’s Logan VanEnkevort were selected as two of the 203 total football student-athletes across all levels of play.
 
Pannunzio, a Canfield, Ohio native, has recorded seven catches for 69 yards. Off the field, he holds a cumulative GPA of 3.9 as a Biology major.
 
Logan VanEnkevort, a wide receiver from Holt, Mich., is a versatile player for the Chargers both offensively and on special teams. VanEnkevort is also a Biology major with a cumulative GPA of 3.59.
 
The NFF will announce 12-14 finalists on Oct. 23. Finalists will receive a postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2024 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class.
