COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers volleyball program added a new member to the 2024-25 team on August 30
th.

Amy Bambenek signed
Rosie Reneau to the Panthers with a National Letter of Intent in a ceremony inside Alumni Hall. The partnership was made possible by Team IMPACT.
Rosie is an eight year-old in third grade at Bluffsview Elementary School. She is very active in cross country, soccer and gymnastics. At home, she loves art projects, baking with her mom and playing with her brothers.
"Our partnership with Team IMPACT embodies our team culture in being able to empower and give confidence to teammates and other young women and girls," added Coach Bambenek. "From the very start, Rosie fit right in and has taught our players to seek joy in every opportunity and there is no limit to what someone can accomplish."
Rosie and her family took part in a signing day celebration, complete with a team scrimmage, a locker room tour and sweet treats. Rosie was joined by her mother, Miriel and her two brothers, Gregory and Peter.

Addy Wade shared her thoughts in a speech during the ceremony, "We are so blessed and honored to welcome Rosie into our Panther family thanks to Team IMPACT. Rosie is a strong, bubbly, outgoing ball of energy, who brings life to our team. She's confident, kind, motivating and determined. We can all learn something from having Rosie as our teammate."

Bailey Christiansen spoke as well, "Rosie has a spirit that lights up every room she walks into. Talking to Rosie makes everyone's day better and we are so excited to have her join our team. ODUVB stands by a culture of family, perseverance and trust and commitment. Rosie perfectly embodies the type of teammate we all want to have."
Team IMPACT's unique multiyear program matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Their mission is to guide children and teams alike in a mutually beneficial relationship of belonging, empowerment, and resilience. Through this program, their vision is to create a world where every child facing serious illness and disability feels supported by something bigger and every team is transformed by a greater purpose.
