Michael Jerrell Makes Seahawks' 53-Man Roster

Seattle, Wash.- Former University of Findlay offensive lineman Michael Jerrell has officially earned his spot on the 53-man roster for the Seattle Seahawks as announced by the organization on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Jerrell who was selected in the 6th round and was pick number 207 of the event, described the moment as "a dream come true." Jerrell goes on to say "I've always felt like I belonged from the day I got my number called." The Indianapolis, Ind. native put together an outstanding career with the Oilers, earning a host of awards including all-American honors in 2022 and 2023, 2023 G-MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, 2023 first team all-region, and four all-conference awards including three first-team picks. 

Head Coach and mentor Kory Allen said "I'm so incredibly proud of Michael. It's not just who he is as a football player that made this happen. It is who he is as a human being. All of Oiler Nation is proud of him!"

Joining Jerrell on an NFL roster is former UF tight end, Andrew Ogletree who made the Indianapolis Colts initial 53-man roster.
