CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Division II Athletic Director’s Association (D2 ADA) announced the 2023-24 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards. The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 17
th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference was well-represented on the list with a total of 1,075 student-athletes from eight member institutions. Tiffin led the way with 228 followed by Walsh with 224. Also recognized on the list were student-athletes from Ashland, Cedarville, Findlay, Hillsdale, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Ursuline.The G-MAC had the fourth-highest number of student’s recognized.
“The academic accomplishments of our outstanding student-athletes are special and we appreciate the D2 ADA acknowledging the hard work these students put forth” said Great Midwest Commissioner Tom Daeger. “Thank you to our members for providing the support to assist them to not only be great athletically, but also to be great in the classroom.”
To qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have completed a minimum of two years of college level work, and must be an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
