INDIANAPOLIS—The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) introduced a new board of directors during their annual summit that took place in Columbus, Ohio.
The committee voted on a secret ballot for the roles of Great Midwest Chair, Vice Chair, and Social Media Chari, with one institution receiving one vote.
Camryn Pickerill of Ohio Dominican University was voted by her peers as the Great Midwest SAAC Chair after serving as Vice Chair the past year. Pickerill is a graduate student on the Ohio Dominican women’s basketball team and is the president of ODU’s SAAC.
“It was a blessing to serve as the Vice Chair of the G-MAC SAAC this past year" said Chair Camryn Pickerill. "Throughout the year I learned many new things that prepared me to take on the Chair role for 2024-25. I am blessed with the opportunity to serve at the conference level again and I look forward to helping all student-athlete’s voices to be heard throughout the next year as Ohio Dominican University’s President and as the Great Midwest’s SAAC Chair.”
Cedarville’s Kaelan Swallow was voted as Vice Chair. Swallow currently serves as the SAAC President on Cedarville’s campus and is a junior on the women’s soccer team.
The Social Media Chair was voted to be Northwood’s Addie Delcamp, a junior on the women’s golf team.
The new changes to the SAAC board are effective immediately for the 2024-25 academic year.
