INDIANAPOLIS—After a conclusive vote from the league’s Faculty Athletic Representatives, Ashland’s Annie Roshak was officially unveiled as the winner of the 2023-24 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
The Great Midwest Scholar-Athlete of the Year is traditionally presented on an annual basis for an individual deemed to have completed the most outstanding record in athletics, scholarship, and leadership.
Roshak, a graduate student on the Ashland women’s basketball team, averaged 15.4 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 59.3% from the field during the 23-24 season. She was named the G-MAC player of the year back-to-back years and led the Eagles to their third consecutive conference title.
A native of North Canton, Ohio, Roshak completed her MBA program with a 3.945 cumulative GPA. She was named a College Sports Communicator (CSC) Academic All-District for the third time in her career. She leaves Ashland a two-time CSC Academic all-American while also becoming the program’s leading scorer with 2,370 career points.
This is the second consecutive year Roshak has earned Scholar Athlete honors.
