7.1.24

INDIANAPOLIS- After a conclusive vote from the league’s Faculty Athletic Representatives, Findlay’s Tim Stollings was officially unveiled as the winner of the 2023-24 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year award recipient.

The Great Midwest Scholar-Athlete of the Year is traditionally presented on an annual basis for an individual deemed to have completed the most outstanding record in athletics, scholarship, and leadership.

Stollings, a native of Pritchard, WV., is a swimming & diving student-athlete who graduated this past spring with his MBA, while boasting a 4.0 GPA.

He is a five-year member of the Oiler swim team. This season, Stollings won five events at the conference championship and was named the 2023-24 Swimmer of the Year. He then went on to win his second national title in the 100 butterfly as well as seven all-American honors.

Stollings thrived both in and out of the pool, earning College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic all-American honors in 2023 and 2024.

Previously winning for the first time in 2022, Stollings joins 2018 Scholar-Athlete award winner Andrew Alten as the only two Oilers to receive the award.
