Findlay's Mary Kelly Mulcahy Tabbed Great Midwest Athlete of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS--  After a decisive vote from the league’s Sports Information Directors, Findlay’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy was officially labeled as the winner of the 2023-24 Great Midwest Female Athlete of the Year.
 
The award is traditionally presented on an annual level to a nominee based on athletic accomplishments and contributions to their specific sport and the institution’s overall athletic program.
 
Mulcahy, a junior from Lima, Ohio, had a remarkable number of achievements surrounding her name this season. She totaled seven individual wins during the year, the most wins at the Division II level. Through 42 rounds, Mulcahy posted a conference-best 71.20 average and went on earn Great Midwest Player of the Year as well as NCAA Division II National Player of the Year. Additionally, Mulcahy was named a first-team all-American as well as to the all-East Region team.
 
On top of an extensive list of accolades this season, Mulcahy was also selected as a member of team USA for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup. She was the only non-Division I female chosen.
 
She ended the year as the fourth best golfer in D2 and ranks first in the region.
