Findlay, Ashland Punch Tickets to National Championship

INDIANAPOLIS—Two Great Midwest teams punched their ticket to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf National Championship, announced Wednesday afternoon. Both Findlay and Ashland are among the six teams in the East Region that will participate in the National Championship, slated for May 21.
 
The Oilers were once again crowned East Regional Champions after shooting 905 to close out the 54 holes. Findlay’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy was the highest finisher from the league with a second place individual finish. Mulcahy shot rounds of 75-72-77 to finish with 224. Two other Oilers found themselves in the top-ten individual finishers. Erin Mulcahy and Gabby Woods both finished tied for third.
 
Ashland qualified after a 4th place team finish, shooting a collective 932. Emma Conway led the Eagles, firing rounds of 76-75-80 to finish tied for 11th. This is the Eagles fourth trip as a team to the national event.
 
The National Championship will be played in Orlando, Fla. at Orange County National Golf Center, with the top teams and individuals advancing from their respective regions.
