Ashland on top of President's Cup Standings

INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released an update of the President’s Cup standings heading as the final winter championship in STUNT concluded last weekend. Ashland University leads the race, 18 points ahead of second-place Findlay.
 
The Eagles had a successful winter season with women’s basketball winning their third straight title and women’s indoor track and field earning their first ever Great Midwest championship. STUNT shared the highest-point total for the sport as they earned a share of the black division title. The Eagles totaled 116.0 points heading into the spring season.
 
Findlay moved into second place with 98.0 points. The Oilers once again swept the swimming and diving awards and earned runner-up in men’s and women’s indoor track & field. Findlay sponsors seven of the 10 Great Midwest sports offered in the winter.
 
Walsh falls behind Findlay with 96.0 points while Tiffin sitting in fourth with 90.5 points.
 
The President’s Cup is awarded to the institution that collects the highest tally of points based on regular season winning percentage (standings) or individual meet results (sports with no conference regular season schedule) through the completed spring championship season.
