INDIANAPOLIS—Cedarville’s Jayvon Maughmer earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year to highlight this year’s men’s basketball all-conference award list. Maughmher was the league’s leading scorer, averaging 20.3 points per game this season on 53.7% shooting.
Thomas More’s Nathan Dudukovich was voted by the league’s coaches as the Great Midwest’s top freshman. Dudukovich averaged 12.4 points while appearing in all 28 games for the Saints.
Drew Cooper, who coached Kentucky Wesleyan to their first regular season title since the 2016-2017 season, was voted the Great Midwest Coach of the Year.

The quality of play in the Great Midwest this season resulted in a wide-ranging list of postseason award winners. Student-athletes from eight schools were named first-team all-conference. 12 different schools had at least one all-conference honoree.
Regular season co-champions Kentucky Wesleyan and Walsh each landed two apiece on the first-team list.
From KWC, Borja Fernandez and Kennedy Miles represent the Panthers as first-team honorees. Fernandez, a two-time athlete of the week selection, averaged 17.2 points during the regular season on 56.2% shooting. Miles ranks third in assists per game (4.9) and is at the top of the conference in steals with 52 this season.
Garrison Keesler and Kobe Mitchell are the first-team selections from Walsh. The duo led the Cavaliers to their third straight regular season title with a conference record of 15-5. Keesler averages 5.0 assists per game and has a G-MAC best 4.2 assist to turnover ratio. Mitchell, a sophomore guard, ranks in the top 10 in scoring at 17.4 per game and is first in three pointers per game at 3.5.
The No. 4 seed Thomas More saw Reid Jolly as a first-team selection. Jolly led the Saints in scoring with 15.7 points per game.
Walsh will be the host for this weekend’s Great Midwest Basketball Championship as the No. 2 Cavaliers host No. 3 Cedarville.
No. 4 Thomas More has No. 8 Tiffin for their second meeting of the season.
