INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletes of the week for December 2nd, 2024 are based on student-athlete performance from November 25th, 2024- December 1st, 2024. 
 
Men’s Basketball
Jaylen Davis / Cedarville University/ R-Fr. / Guard / Richmond, Ky.
 Davis had a big performance for the Yellowjackets against defending Mountain East Conference champion Charleston WV, tallying a career-high 35 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Cedarville came away with the road victory 86-77, and Davis went 8-of-12 from the three-point line.  
 
Women’s Basketball
Lyv Lindeman / Tiffin University / Fr. / Guard / Delphos, Ohio
In a thrilling 78-75 overtime victory at Slippery Rock, Lindeman led the team with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, shooting 50 percent from the floor and going 5-of-7 from the line. Tiffin improves to 4-2 heading into conference play. 
 
Wrestling
Hayden Kuhn / Ashland University/ So. / Ashland, Ohio
The Eagles were led by Hayden Kuhn on their long road trip to Greenwood, S.C.. Kuhn was able to help the Eagles win all four matches on Sunday against Newberry, Coker, Lander and UNC-Pembroke. The 149-pound sophomore, who is ranked No. 15 in the nation, recorded a technical fall, major decision and two decisions in his individual wins. His most dominant showing came in the 11-1 major decision over No. 8 nationally ranked Jake Piccirilli of Pembroke.
