INDIANAPOLIS- Tiffin has been selected to participate in the fifth annual America’s Crossroads Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Hobart, Ind.
Tiffin (8-3, 7-2) will represent the G-MAC while Truman State (7-4, 6-2) will represent the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The annual contest that features teams from the G-MAC and GLVC will kickoff at 2 P.M. ET at Hobart’s Brickyard Stadium.
The Dragons finished third in the Great Midwest standings under first-year head coach Brett Ekkens, ending the 2024 regular season winning six of their last seven games.
Tiffin’s offense is the top in the conference, averaging 34.7 points per game, including 49 touchdowns during the regular season. The Dragons’ high-powered offense is led by offensive player of the Year Alex Johnson as well as Player of the Year Ronald Blackman. Johnson leads the league in passing with a 163.7 efficiency rating. He connected on 27 touchdowns this season and completed 220 of 321 attempted passes. Blackman was conference’s top running back, averaging nearly 126 yards per contest and 1,385 yards this season.
The Dragons’ defense is also top in the conference, led by defensive lineman of the year Khris Walton. Walton and the Dragons limited opponents to just 18.3 points per game during the regular season. Walton led the league in sacks during the regular season with 12 for 90 yards.
This is Tiffin’s second appearance in the Crossroads Bowl, with their first appearance coming in 2022.
