INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletes of the week for November 25th, 2024 are based on student-athlete performance from November 18th, 2024- November 24th, 2024. 
 
Men’s Basketball
Elijah Watson / Northwood University/ R-Sr. / Forward / Chicago Heights, Ill.
Across Northwood’s two regional road wins this week, Watson averaged 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and shot 65.0 percent from the floor (13-20). In their 84-65 win over Davenport, Watson had 20 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.  
 
Women’s Basketball
MacKenzie Schulz / University of Findlay/ So. / Forward / Strongsville, Ohio
In the Oilers convincing win against UIndy, Schulz had a career-high in both points and rebounds, scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. She shot 6-of-10 from the 3 point range, the most made threes by a player in the G-MAC this season. 
 
 
 
Men’s Swimming & Diving
Elisha  Thompkins / Malone University/ So. / Humble, TX 
Thompkins reached the A final in the 200 Free at the Malone Invitational, clinching 8th place with a personal best time of 1:46.96. As a whole, he set three new individual personal
 
Women’s Swimming & Diving
Elise  Mason / Hillsdale College/ Sr. / Zeeland, Mich.
Mason posted impressive finishes at the competitive Don Kimble Invite over the weekend, earning second in both the 500 freestyle and the 1,650 freestyle. Her 500 freestyle time of 5:00.96 broke her own school record in the event, and her time of 16:59.80 in the 1,650 freestyle breaks 17 minutes for just the second time in program history. 
 
Wrestling
Giulian Bodiu / University of Findlay/ Jr. / Canton, Mich.
Bodiu performed well at the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open. While competing in the heavyweight bracket, he had a record of 4-2 with all four wins coming by way of pin.
