INDIANAPOLIS — Part of the Midwest Region will run through Ferguson Field for a second straight year.

After taking home the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season and championship titles this year, the Eagles will now look for more silverware in the NCAA Tournament. They were placed as the No. 1 seed in the selection show on Monday night.

In the first round, the Eagles will be given a bye, as the No. 1 and No. 3 seed in each region secured a game to rest. For their second bout, in the Midwest semi-final round, they will take on the winner of Northern Michigan (14-3-4) and Drury University (14-2-4).

Alongside the three teams mentioned above, the Midwest Region will also see Maryville University (15-0-3), McKendree University (16-4-1), Grand Valley State (12-1-7) and Missouri Saint Louis (14-3-3).

Outside of the Eagles, no other G-MAC schools were selected to participate in the tournament. Throughout the 2024 regular season and their conference tournament run, they’ve suffered just one loss, coming against Midwest rival Grand Valley State. That loss came in the season opener in a 1-0 result. Since then, they’ve won 17 and drawn two, marking a 74-day streak since a loss.

AU enters this year’s NCAA Tournament being lauded at a No. 3 national ranking in the most recent USC Coaches Polls. They will kick off action on Sunday, Nov. 25, with game time set for 3:00 P.M.
