COLUMBUS, Ohio - To celebrate the upcoming Halloween holiday, the Ohio Dominican University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted their first ever Trunk or Treat event on campus on Sunday, October 27th.
Each of Ohio Dominican's 16 programs gathered in the Gold Lot to welcome the Columbus community, complete with their Halloween costumes. While stopping at each team's site to retrieve their favorite Halloween candy, the participants were able to interact with ODU's student-athletes with a unique opportunity related to each program.
Ohio Dominican's SAAC President Camryn Pickerill spoke about the inaugural event, "Thank you to everyone who came to SAAC's 1st Trunk-or-Treat! It has been awesome to see the community of ODU athletics get involved with the surrounding communities, but the best part of the day was seeing the athletes' unique ideas for an interactive game at each trunk. Games ranged from putt-putt and mini hoop basketball to soccer and even face painting!"
