INDIANAPOLIS-- Three schools from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference have earned the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, awarded to Division II schools that have achieved an Academic Success Rate of 90% or higher.
Hillsdale College was the league’s top-performer, earning an Academic Success Rate of 98%. The Chargers were only one of four institutions who achieved this number.
Cedarville followed with a 95% ASR, while Trevecca Nazarene was not far behind at 94%.
Cedarville, Hillsdale, and Trevecca are three of 44 Division II institutions to earn the honor.
The Division II ASR includes transfers into a school in the calculation and removes those who transferred out of the school while academically eligible. The ASR also includes over 30,000 nonscholarship student-athletes who were enrolled in the four years covered in the most recent data.
This year, Bentley and Saint Michaels were the top performers, with an ASR of 99%.
