INDIANAPOLIS -- Trevecca Nazarene University has announced intention to join the Gulf South Conference effective for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

With TNU's departure, Great Midwest membership will consist of 13 full member institutions and five associate members in 2024-25. 

The following is a statement from Great Midwest commissioner Tom Daeger. 

"The Great Midwest extends our appreciation to Trevecca Nazarene for the many contributions the institution has made as a founding member of the Conference. We are indebted to President Dan Boone and Athletic Director Mark Elliott for their excellent service and leadership over the course of their time with the league. We wish them well as they transition membership.

Over the last 12 years, the Great Midwest has been blessed to have significantly grown alongside our membership. We will be identifying additional institutions that share our mission, values, and commitment to student-athlete success while remaining dedicated to our membership".
