Annie Roshak Earns Scholar Athlete of the Year Award

INDIANAPOLIS—After a conclusive vote from the league’s Faculty Athletic Representatives, Ashland’s Annie Roshak was officially unveiled as the winner of the 2022-23 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
 
The Great Midwest Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year is traditionally presented on an annual basis for an individual deemed to have completed the most outstanding record in athletics, scholarship, and leadership.
 
Roshak, a native of North Canton, Ohio, led the Ashland University Women’s Basketball team to their third national title this past season. She completed her undergraduate studies in Accounting with a 3.84 GPA, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
 
Most recently, Roshak was awarded the conference’s Athlete of the Year after averaging 14.6 points per game and ranking third at the Division II level in field goal percentage at 63.0.
 
Roshak is a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American and All-District recipient.
 
She is the first Ashland Eagle to earn Scholar Athlete of the Year honors.
