INDIANAPOLIS—The NCAA released the first edition of regional rankings for the 2023 Softball season Wednesday afternoon. In the initial rankings, teams are listed as “under consideration” and are in alphabetical order.
A trio of teams from the conference are featured in the Midwest region. Reigning Great Midwest Champions, Ohio Dominican, is mentioned with an overall record of 25-16 against Division II opponents. The Panthers currently top the conference standings with a 12-2 record.
Trevecca Nazarene also joins the Panthers as a regional competitor. The Trojans are 13-3 in conference play and 29-11 overall.
Newcomer Northwood is also mentioned in their first season competing as Great Midwest members. The Timberwolves are 11-6 in the conference and 27-17 overall.
The second set of rankings are scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, with teams listed in numerical order.
