Findlay Women Polled at No. 16

NEW ORLEANS, La.- The University of Findlay Women’s Track and Field team are the lone representative in this week’s USTFCCCA rankings. The Oilers dropped five spots this week to No. 16, after being slotted at No. 11 in last week’s poll.
 
Findlay is coming off a successful weekend at the Gordon Bocock Invitational, where they placed first out of 18 teams. 
 
The Oilers had several first-place finishers, including field athlete of the week Trista Fintel. Fintel won the hammer throw and hit a provisional mark of 54.21m. Fintel is joined by Jordan Taylor who took first in the 100m dash (12.07) and Amelia Mizelle who won the 100m hurdles (15.68). Mackenzie Schneider won the 800m with a time of 2:20.68 and Kelsey Kennon won the shot put with a mark of 13.38m.
 
Up next, Findlay will compete at the Tiffin Track Carnival April 14-15.
